Hymns for our family prayer and praise time.

O Thou, whose bounty fills my cup

O Thou, whose bounty fills my cup
With every blessing meet!
I give Thee thanks for every drop—
The bitter and the sweet.

I praise Thee for the desert road,
And for the riverside;
For all Thy goodness hath bestowed,
And all Thy grace denied.

I thank Thee for both smile and frown,
And for the gain and loss;
I praise Thee for the future crown,
And for the present cross.

I thank Thee for the wing of love,
Which stirred my worldly nest;
And for the stormy clouds which drove
The flutterer to Thy breast.

I bless Thee for the glad increase,
And for the waning joy;
And for this strange, this settled peace,
Which nothing can destroy.

Eternal Father, Thou hast said

Eternal Father, Thou hast said
That Christ all glory shall obtain;
That He Who once a suff’rer bled
Shall o’er the world a conqu’ror reign.

We wait Thy triumph, Savior King,
Long ages have prepared Thy way;
Now all abroad Thy banner fling,
Set time’s great battle in array.

Thy hosts are mustered to the field;
“The Cross! the Cross!” the battle call;
The old grim towers of darkness yield,
And soon shall totter to their fall.

On mountain tops the watch fires glow,
Where scattered wide the watchmen stand;
Voice echoes voice, and onward flow
The joyous shouts from land to land.

Oh, fill the Church with faith and power!
Bid her long nights of weeping cease;
To groaning nations haste the hour
Of life and freedom, light and peace.

Come, Spirit, make Thy wonders known,
Fulfill the Father’s high decree;
Then earth, the might of hell o’er thrown,
Shall keep her last great jubilee.

In Zion’s sacred gates.....

In Zion’s sacred gates let hymns of praise begin,
While acts of faith and love in ceaseless beauty shine;
In mercy there, while God is known,
Before His throne with songs appear.

The promises I sing, which sovereign love hath spoke;
Nor will our heav’nly King His words of grace revoke;
They stand secure, and steadfast still,
Nor Zion’s hill abides so sure.

The mountains melt away, when once the Judge appears;
And sun and moon decay, that measure mortal years;
But still the same, in radiant lines,
Thy promise shines thro’ all the flame.

Rejoice! our Lord is King! Our God and King adore;
Yea, all give thanks and sing, and triumph evermore;
Lift up the heart, lift up the voice,
Rejoice aloud, let all rejoice.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness.....

 1.  Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.

2. Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Refrain

Sometimes I sing this to my spouse as a "thank you" for her faithfulness (not all things apply but many in this hymn)
